Tijden de bieten- en aardappeloogst werd Gebr. Vos uit Dinteloord op de foto vastgelegd door Sander. Deze familie boerde oorspronkelijk op eiland Tiengemeten en nu al jaren in West-Brabant. Toch blijven de ex-eilanders zelfvoorzienend. Ook bij de oogst.
De opzet is bekend: We zien wederom 4 loonbedrijven die aan het maïs hakselen waren. Een Krone en 3 verschillende Claas Jaguar hakselaars fotografeerde en filmde Johan. En dat bij loonbedrijven in Gelderland, Overijssel en Noord-Brabant.
Deze serie is gemaakt in Oostelijk Flevoland, waar loonbedrijf Breure - De Waard aan het hakselen was, en de Noordoostpolder. Daar was loonbedrijf Ten Hove druk in zowel gras als luzerne. Ook werden er aardappelen gerooid met een Riecam.
Patryk woont in het Brabantse Deurne, waar hij ook landbouwfoto's maakt. Maar, in zijn thuisland Polen is pas echt naar hartenlust groot materiaal te fotograferen. Afgelopen zomer ging hij er op vakantie en maakte en mooie oogstreportage.
In de serie zien we het rooien bij 2 bedrijven op Tholen in Oud-Vossemeer: Heestermans Agro en Geluk Agro. Beide bedrijven zitten naast elkaar en zijn in het bezit van mooie youngtimers. Voor hen is dan ook een hoofdrol weggelegd in deze serie.
Na een succesvolle eerste editie werd ook dit jaar in Jülich, niet ver over de grens met Venlo, een bietenoogstdemonstratie gegeven. Van rooien met paarden tot de allernieuwste bunkerrooier en bietenmuis. Alles was er te bewonderen.
Planting tulip bulbs is in full swing during half October. Dutch tulip grower Boon Brothers are busy planting in Flevoland with their brand new Fendt 620 Vario ONE on Soucy tracks. This is fitted with a front loader, roof mounted hopper and 1.80m wide net planter from Dutch manufacturer Vlaming. The bulbs are planted in between two layers of netting. The big advantage is that, when harvesting the bulbs in July, the whole bed with nets is lifted and the bulbs extracted without excess soil. First the field (previously grass) has to be prepared. A Fendt 820 Vario is ploughing with a Lemken Juwel and this is followed by a John Deere 6155R trike with Celli power harrow. Both combinations are from contracting company Breure - De Waard. After planting the tracks are eradicated in between the beds.
German machinery manufacturer Grimme is demonstrating its newest en biggest sugar beet harvester in the Netherlands this autumn, in co-operation with local dealerships. Here Otto Barkhuis Mechanisatie is demonstrating the machine at contracting company Schoenmaker Agri in Vlagtwedde, Groningen. The second generation Rexor 6300 was launched in 2024 by Grimme. The most notable improvements, apart from a new styling, are the use of the Claas X11 cab, a 45m³ bunker capacity and new arm rest controls. Many details have been improved to make life easier for the operator. One interesting detail is the use of PE plastic as covers inside the bunker. The manufacturer claims this reduces damage to the beet and less loose tips. With its 34 tonne dry weight, 15.6m length and 653 HP engine this really is a behemoth.
